But I have an excuse -- last week my relatives were driving me crazy (I love them, bless their hearts, but family togetherness reminds me why I live in Arizona and they live in Louisiana). I still cannot fathom people who will come to Arizona with not a single piece of outdoors footgear... what do they think this is, the Mall of the Americas?! Anyhow: while being driven crazy, I also finished Ocotillo, a first attempt at a cryptographically secure pseudo-random number generator for Unix variants that do not have a /dev/random device (mostly things like Solaris, HP/UX, etc.). There is a paper and source code at the Ocotillo home page. Enjoy. (And there may be more to come soon!). Oh -- there is no conspiracy. -Eric
