![]() New Online HomeThe hosting site is ProHosting, which has very good rates. I guess it will be a while before I know whether they have acceptable reliability and performance. I bought my domain names at Dotster, which is an ICANN-authorized registrar that, at the time I registered, was charging $15/year per domain name registered (thus I registered all variations of "badtux" for less than it would have costed to register one name at Network Solutions :-). In other news: I moved MTX's home page to mtx.sourceforge.net because it needed a stable home. It is likely that EST's web site will be totally off-limits to Engineering soon, since Atipa is talking about moving it to Kansas City onto more reliable hardware and Internet connectivity (we have only the single T1, i.e., it goes down, we go down, and the machine is a rather elderly IDE-based box that's running, I think, an AMD K6-2/300). MTX deserves a stable home, and now has one. The MTX source still remains on EST's FTP server. If you're one of my relatives, leave me EMAIL if you want a badtux.org EMAIL address for yourself (hmm, "mom@badtux.org", like the thought? :-). I can forward it to whatever your current ISP is so that you can say "mom@badtux.org" as your address and have it work forever. Neat, eh? Well, that's all for now... -- Eric |
