1. I have moved! I am now in a beautiful new apartment complex near the center of everything, right across the street from Papago Park. I have a freeway approximately 400 yards from my apartment, and another freeway approximately 1/2 mile from my apartment. I now live 10 minutes from work. Gosh, wonder what I'm going to do with that extra hour of free time I have every day now?!

   Unfortunately my camera died. Same camera I bought in 1991 to take pictures of my students, so I guess it was time for it to die. I'll put some pictures online when I get a new camera. Hopefully once the latest round of Linux IPO's take place, I'll have a little spare cash and can get one of those new megapixel digital cameras. With CD-R's being so cheap now, it doesn't make sense to spend money on 35mm film developing when all I would do would be to scan them into the computer anyhow!

2. Ocotillo has moved. There was no longer a need for the "pre-screening" widget, so I moved it to the Twofish for Python home page. You can download the latest version of the Twofish for Python module there too, which also includes a pair of simple file encryption/decryption utilities for your use. (Please read the warnings on the site and in the source code, though!).
3. I have now re-worked 'mtx' to deal with big tape libraries and optical juke boxes, as well as done a ton of other work to bring it up to date (like, totally re-arrange the code?!). See The MTXL README.
4. Work is continuing on the White Trash Blues song cycle. I have now finished "Everything Turns To Shit", which clocks in at 5 minutes. Hopefully I'll have a good recording of it soon to put online somewhere. Unfortunately it appears I'm out of room -- I'm going to have to go find some free server somewhere else to put my music stuff on.

Time to get back to work on The Beast Project again, sigh...
